This small bowl, turned from Manawa the coastal tree didn’t go to plan. While mounting it, a hole was drilled straight through the bottom. A total fuck-up. But instead of scrapping it, the bowl was glued, then soldered not a common practice but its crazy where your mind goes some days. patched together with stubbornness, care, and a bit of defiance.
It now sits on a small rock, marked by a striking white mineral spot, as if echoing the repair in the bowl above. The solder is visible, unapologetic. The piece isn’t perfect. But it never needed to be.
Kinda Fucked, Kinda Fine is about mistakes you don’t hide and things you choose to hold onto anyway. Because not everything broken needs throwing away. Sometimes the faultline becomes the feature. Sometimes that’s where the story is.
